N.S.G.H.A. Executive Welcomes Ron Phillips as New Director of Coaches
Ron Phillips, Head Coach of the Peewee B Rep Team, will take over the executive duties and responsibilities from Pat Marchand.
Pat Marchand will continue to do CRC’s, and will support Ron in his new position. We thank Pat for his years of great service as the Director of Coaches.
Atom B Wins Cold Creek International Silver Stick Championship!
Atom B Capitals bring home a banner and the Silver Stick trophy to the N.S.S.R.C.
The North Simcoe Atom B Capitals, sponsored by Rob Marchand Construction, competed in Brighton and Frankford, Ontario February 3-5 at the International Silver Stick Championships for Atom B Girls. The girls won their pool after 3 games and advanced to the semi-final against the host team, Cold Creek Comets. The Capitals beat Cold Creek 9-1 and advanced to the final to play the Ottawa Ice.
The Ottawa team were a very tough opponent, and it was a nail-bighter right to the finish. In the end, It was an all around team effort that secured the 2-1 victory. The beautiful banner and Silver Stick trophy are proudly displayed at the North Simcoe Rec Centre.
